Essential Oils in April Terra Bella Box

I love using essential oils as a substitute for perfume because they are natural, so I feel assured knowing that there are no funky chemicals infused in them when rubbing the oils into my skin. I usually use essential oils from droppers, but the Frisky Fish Essential Oil comes in a roller, which is so convenient! I like to use this product on my temples before I fall asleep. The roller in ‘Exhale’ has eucalyptus and lavender oils. I love the scent of eucalyptus—it reminds me of my campus at UC Santa Barbara which was lined with eucalyptus trees near my old dorm room. In aromatherapy, lavender is known to be a calming agent which can settle the body down and prepare it for a night’s rest.

This week I’ve been using the Queen Charlotte  soaps handmade shaving cream sample in Queen Charlotte. The cream comes in a unique slippery cream consistency. I took a dab of it and rubbed it between my hands with a little water and then massaged it into my legs. After shaving, my legs were so smooth and I had no shaving burn, which is a shaving after effect I’ve been struggling with for years! I’m totally loving this product. I’d definitely recommend this in comparison to any standard shaving cream—it does a fantastic job at keeping my legs smooth, un-irritated, and it’s all-natural which is a big plus!

These cosmetics are natural and vegan in a super light, powdery consistence. I was pleasantly surprised to see the pigmentation on my swatches, because I something wonder if natural products/dyes are not as bright as most commercial beauty products. I was happily proven wrong! It makes me so happy that literally everything—from deodorant to bronzer—as a green-beauty friendly substitute.

I was excited to try the Mane & Co. polishing wax. This wax is a multi-use hair product that helps with frizz, vibrancy, and helps protect against heat damage. Using this product is a great way to give your hair a finishing touch that makes it look like it has a little product in it. For example, running late to work after a morning shower, I ran a bit of this product through the ends of my hair and my hair was a lot less frizzy and frayed than it usually looks when I run out with wet hair without styling it. The wax is made of many awesome organic ingredients like beeswax, macadamia nut oil, cocoa butter, and essential oils.

This is made of sunflower seed oil, sweet almond oil, beeswax, shea butter, jojoba oil, and vitamin E with tea tree, rosemary, and peppermint essential oils. I rubbed some into my feet and used the excess to massage into my knees. The salve was super hydrating. I’ve learned this past year how well natural oils work as a moisturizer. I’ve been using oils like these for months, and my skin truly feels clear and purified, even more so than moisturizers I’ve used in my past that contain dozens of chemicals. A little bit of this product goes a long way, so you definitely get your money’s worth with each tin!
