Fairtrade Beauty by Fable Naturals

Fable Naturals was created after an inspiring trip to a small farm in the mountains of Peru. Gwen, the creator of Fable Naturals, saw the intensity and heart of South American farmers towards producing organic cocoa and coffee. The humbleness and simplicity of the farmers and their passion towards growing their own food was unforgettable. Inspired by these farmers and the idea of supporting fairtrade beauty, Fable Naturals was born! That being said, I really admire this company and I’m happy to have partnered up with them to bring this fairtrade beauty review!

Fable Naturals has been a brand I’ve been itching to know for all my friends and family who ask me, what’s a solid all-natural company I can easily adapt towards a green beauty routine?

Fable Naturals is perfect because they have the most amazing products, uphold such high quality, yet are still affordably priced. They also require no scooping, water mixing or messy hands which hey, I love, but I understand it’s not for everyone!

Moisturizer

The first product I tried is the Chamomile + Shea Facial Moisturizer. I use this moisturizer in the evenings and it is a lifesaver! It’s totally soothing. Rosehip oil contains fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins which help regenerate cells and protect your skin. With added fairtrade shea butter, which is full of Vitamins A and E, my skin is hydrated and nourished.

In addition to it’s light scent, chamomile extract soothes the skin and prevents redness. In most products, there are so many unnecessary fragrances and chemicals. It’s great to become familiar with a brand who offers transparency to learn about the producers and ingredients behind each product.

Moroccan Argan Oil

I also tested the fairtrade beauty Moroccan Argan Oil. Like in my Instagram post, I’ve been really into trying oily serums for my face. A recent natural beauty event inspired me to dive into oily and fatty serums to feed and replenish my skin. The moisture of my skin has increased noticeably. My skin is firm, plump, and moisturized with hydration. I do not wear foundation day to day, yet I have been feeling so beautiful and confident in my own flesh with the stable moisturization of Moroccan argan oil.

This argan oil restores dry, dull skin because it has fatty acids. It can also help reduce the overproduction of sebum, which is a substance that leads to acne and clogged pores. This argan oil is sourced from a fair trade women’s cooperative in Morocco which employs local women and empowers them to earn an income to support their families.

Lotion

Next, I’ve been trying the Rosemary and Mint Organic Lotion. I recently came back from a trip to Carlsbad with some of my best friends from college. I somehow put sunscreen all over my body, but blanked on my legs! I ended up getting really painful burns the backs of my legs. To soothe and moisturize the skin, I put on the lotion because it has helped so much with my healing process. The lotion has calmed my skin and offered it to replenish itself in a healthy, natural way.

Lip Balm

Next, I tried their lip balm, which is unlike any I’ve seen because of the packaging!

First, let me back up. Although I love a lip balm in a stick applicator, I was always a little uncomfortable with using a disposable plastic container. Fable Naturals’ lip balms come in a cardboard applicator that you squeeze to push up. This is simple engineering in design that totally works. This type of applicator pushes the balm from the tube to the surface for application, then sinks when pressure is taken off the product. The balm is a solid, yet even after accidently leaving the product in my car it didn’t melt! It’s a great pick because it has a minty tingle with each application. Plus, it’s so interesting, unique, and fun to use! The balm is made of candililla wax, which comes from the candililla scrub, and also carnauba wax, a hard vegetable wax.
