As a DIY blogger for Mother Earth News, I like to create easy do-it-yourself projects that upcycle repurposed items into a new life. Since I like to think that things do not lose value even after being the 2nd or 3rd person to use an item, creating repurposed craft projects is my way to help share the idea that secondhand things have value. I’m happy to help to change people’s mindsets to shake the idea that items have to be new to be useful and cherished.

    1. Thanks so much Tamara! I love the smell of lavender, too. It has a really relaxing aromatherapy agent. Good luck with your own DIY 🙂

  1. Hi Karen,
It was nice to meet you yesterday at the LeanIn event.
    Nice post 🙂
I’m always making the same scrub for me but with sugar and I’m also adding a tea tree oil. Smells fantastic and is awesome on skin 🙂

    1. Thank you Mariam, it was so nice to meet you too! I had a lot of fun at the event! Next time I’ll think I’ll replace the epsom salts with sugar and see if I notice a difference. I hope you had a great weekend 🙂
