Hoping I’d have the same luck myself (which was encouraged quite a bit from her excitement), I trotted along with her on my weekend visit for a sunny afternoon of thrifting. I found this adorable little bohemian dress and snagged it for $7! I really like the unique flowery, polka dot design and cut. It’s a loose fitting, relaxed, no-fuss dress with 3/4 cut sleeves which is great, because it balances out the cut of an otherwise high hem.

I paired it with this small leather satchel that was my mom’s when she was a young woman. The purse has a few light scuffs on the front, which, as you may know from reading my previous posts, doesn’t bother me one bit. I think the marks gives the bag character and shows it’s age and quality. It’s real leather, beautifully made with a faux claw clasp. I also feel pretty cool walking around with a vintage purse that was used and loved in the 70’s!Sustainable Daisy: thrift shopping upcycling sustainable fashion eco friendly recycled clothes ecofashion picture image

    1. Thanks Cassie! It can be a little daunting especially since treasures are usually hidden among racks on racks of not so great stuff. But it’s a really fun moment to find something special for such a low price. You should give it a try 🙂

  1. Hi there! Love your pictures! damn cool clothes. yes, it feels awesome when we find nice stuff priced low haha. I stay in the middle east. visiting US early next year. . I’d like to know when I shop these things from in LA when I get there.

    1. That’s awesome! I’d look up stores like: Crossroads Trading Co, Buffalo Exchange, Jetrag, Iguana Vinage. There’s also the Goodwill and the Salvation Army (where you have to dig a little more to get to the good stuff). All are great places to check out. Have fun with!! Thanks for coming by 🙂 xx
