I happened to pop in on a sale day where all clothing was half off, so I ended up just paying $3! Its size is extra large so I used a couple safety pins to pull in the side. I threw on a crop top I bought at a boutique a couple years ago which had a similar turquoise thread that matches the skirt.

I’m about to run on a couple errands so I’m wearing my pink reflective sunglasses which I bought secondhand for $9. I love these shades, especially to wear around the pool or beach! I bought them almost ironically, because I thought they were so loud and attention-grabbing, but I’ve found with the right outfit (or even just a pair of jeans and a gray tank) it can give my look a lot of confidence and character. I like combining these pieces together because they all have unique origins and are secondhand.

I love it on occasion when I receive a compliment on a piece and I can surprise people when they realize that something pretty cute can be found for just a few bucks at a Goodwill or Salvation Army. I think these encounters help break down the stereotype that buying used clothing isn’t appealing and that items are low-quality. I’ve found some of the nicest pieces in my wardrobe from secondhand stores, and it doesn’t bother me a bit that I’m not the first to wear them :).
