I often get compliments on these pieces because they’re so original, bold, and colorful. I love wearing the skirt year round and pairing it with knee-high socks and tall boots.

I bought this $6 patterned skirt at an OC thrift store. Originally hung at a maxi-length and a few sizes too big, I cut and hemmed the shirt to an A-line and resewed the clasping button to give it a high-waisted fit. Best part of this outfit? The skirt has built-in pockets!

The tinted 1970’s rounded frames were bought at an LA thrift store for $5. I must say, I prefer life in shades of blue.

Stay tuned for a skirt-adjustment DIY!
