sun hatI found this dress on Tuesday which I’m really excited about because it’s by one of my favorite designers, Betsey Johnson! I found it thrifted for $10 and I love it! I really like the classic, vibrant style of it. The pattern has big exaggerated flowers with a primary color shading scheme which is the kind of artwork I think is beautiful and visually interesting. I like that the dress is black too, because I think adding tights and a cardigan could transition this dress into a winter/autumn outfit. I paired the dress with a big sun hat which I added a black pom-pom trim which gives it an extra line of detail. I was inspired to do this from DIY youtuber Mary Elizabeth‘s pom pom hat video. I think this is such a great way to spice up clothing that’s thrifted or not quite glam enough. Just a small about of effort (in this case, a few minutes and some fabric glue) can make something look pretty cute! A great tip I found is that chip clips are a great way to hold trim in place while the glue dries.
