Tropical Beauty by Verdura naturalternatives

These yummy tropical beauty products are by Verdura naturalternatives! They were created with the inspiration of a healthier lifestyle with effective products that yield pure, sustainable, and medicinal ingredients. The creator, who has over 25 years of experience as an aesthetician and a skin cancer survivor, has placed years of research into finding a great formula which is gently effective on the skin!

What’s glamorous about Verdura naturalternatives is their packaging—the bottles come in glass vials with metallic embellishments in clean-cut white fitted boxes. The products come in collections which would look really nice as gifts, or displayed on your countertop! Another unique thing about this brand is that most of their products are really fruity and fun. I didn’t have anything watermelon or banana scented in my pamper routine before—and now, I’m not complaining! 🙂

Sustainable + Vegan

Verdura naturalternatives is comminuted to being vegan and cruelty-free, and pledges to never test on animals. Their products are made from organic, fresh botanical ingredients. The products are also gluten free with no parabans, artificial fragrance, petrochemicals or fillers.

Environmental Choice

Due to deforestation, Verdura naturalternatives doesn’t use palm oil in their products. Often, palm oil tree farms are planted on land as a result of slash and burn methods to prep land for farming. With this method, palm oil has been criticized to endanger species due to deforestation and a loss of natural habitat. Of these species include the orangutan and sumatran tiger, both of which are classified as critically endangered.Although there are sustainable palm oil farms, many palm oil cultivations are built ontop of peat bogs, clearing away land to planet these farmlands greatly contributes to GHG emissions.

I think it’s great for brands to be conscious on the ingredients they put in their products and to understand how those ingredients impact the environment and the communities who harvest them.

Bamboo Diva Face Polish

To test out all these tropical beauty products, I first started with the Bamboo Diva Face Polish!

This formula comes in a powder consistency with a small applicator. To use, I mixed the power with warm water until it became a muddy/pudding consistency. I massaged this mixture on my face using my palms for about a minute and let the face polish set for about 8-10 minutes. Afterwards, I rinsed it away. This is a great product because the mixture is abrasive enough to scuff away dead skin cells, but gentle enough that it doesn’t leave my sensitive skin feeling raw.

The formula includes bamboo lead extract, which helps with exfoliation, and watermelon extract which is rich in vitamin C. The polish also has amino acids and antioxidant properties which help skin appear youthful and healthy.

Bamboo Diva Facial Cleanser

After the facial polish I cleansed my face with the Bamboo Diva Facial Cleanser. This cleanser comes in a beautiful glass vial in a juicy pink color.

Like the face polish, the cleanser is also formulated with bamboo extract, as well as grapefruit and sage essential oils. One thing I love is that this facial cleanser is packed with organic aloe vera, which has recently become one of my favorite green beauty ingredients due to the calming effect it has on my skin. tropical beauty products banana strawberry sustainable ecobeauty green beauty sustainability all natural nontoxic blog blogger

The cleanser also has organic olive oil, organic coconut oil, and castor seed oil which cuts through makeup and dirt.

Lotus Hydrating Mist

I finished off this tropical beauty products routine with a few spritz of the Lotus Hydrating Mist!

On a typical day I use pretty heavy moisturizers and facial serums. Sometimes I feel like my skin needs a little break. I found that replacing a heavy moisturizer with a few spritz of the lotus hydrating mist is a great way to give the skin a refreshing vacation from my typical routine.

I would also recommend using this product before applying makeup to a smooth finish and a dewy base to work with. Lastly, the beautiful bottle this mist comes in looks like a pretty vial of perfume! It’s always fun to use products that are beautiful inside and out!
