Vanity Fair Social Club, Eco-Inspired!

Vanity Fair Social Club Party

Recently I can’t stop dreaming of Vanity Fair, Youtube, and Santa Margherita wine… I’m talking about this past weekend, where I had the awesome experience of attending the Vanity Fair Social Club Party in LA!
The Vanity Fair Social Club is a community that provides passionate people a place to talk about the entertainment content they love. From television shoes, fashion trends, on-the-rise celebs, it’s an awesome two-day experience to share content with each other. The event was held at the Greenhouse in Culver City, hosting inspirational influencers of Vanity Fair, Youtube, Buzzfeed, and the like…and I was lucky enough to experience it and now share it with you!

Friday YouTube Stars & Influencer Party

The experience began with the Youtuber Stars & Influencer Party on Friday night. The scene was full of social media socialites in mod skirts, crisp white button downs, and limbs decorated with stellar shoes & jewels. The space held a bunch of beautiful people sharing animated conversations, with an unspoken vibe that they definitely have interesting projects in the works. I love hearing about people’s passions and learning about different career paths, so I was stoked to jump in and mingle. Some attendees included Buzzfeed veterans, popular Youtubers, emerging singers, and lots of stylish bloggers!

I wore a beautiful plum suede high-low skirt with fringe, a sexy secondhand top my coworker gave me, and a vegan leather purse by Daylin Skye. As you can probably tell, I was excited!

Eco-Sustainable Wine

Of course a party isn’t a party without a cocktail bar, or two for that matter. Vanity Fair had bars filled with Santa Marghertia sparkling wine, the drink of the night. I’m a big fan of Santa Marghertia. Not only are their wines fabulous (my favorite is the sparkling rosé), they are also passionate about caring for the environment!

Santa Margherita is big with energy saving, utilizing renewable energy within their vilification cellars. With large photovoltaic panels for solar energy and a biomass generator, Santa Margherita prevents several hundred tons of CO2 from emitting into the atmosphere. The results of their sustainable efforts has dubbed Santa Margherita as a carbon neutral winery and a leader in the fight against global warming!

How awesome is it to celebrate Vanity Fair while sipping on a drink that’s backed by with-it environmentalists? As a green gal, I was soaking it in.

Sustainable wineries are a hot thing right now. Whether by practicing water conservation, utilizing biodiesel tractors, or switching to recyclable packaging, these efforts make a difference. Sustainability requires an extra thought, a little planning, and a sensitivity towards the planet and people around you. When a business does this it shows me that they are willing to make economic choices not only for themselves, but also for the health of earth as well. That mindset is admirable to me because I appreciate the thoughtfulness and conscientiousness it takes to achieve sustainable goals.

Let’s Party!

I grabbed my glass and headed to the 360 Video Room with new friends, Brielle, Samira, and Evelyn. We danced around and laughed so hard at our video, which was a combination of cute and awkward. The experience was ridiculously fun. I also enjoyed brushing shoulders with influencers I’m subscribed to, like Hannah Hart and LaurDIY. It was such a surreal experience! It’s a funny thing to see internet famous people in real life and realize how normal they are. Everyone was so sweet and was having a lot of fun. I didn’t want to leave!

I mingled some more with the crowd and got my portrait painted by illustrator and designer, Jeanette Getrost! The night was so fun and a total success.

Saturday Editorial Panels

The next day I arrived to view the Editorial Panels discussing TV’s best and brightest. With such an awesome daytime event planned, I knew I had to get the outfit right. But why buy a new dress when you can borrow the clothes from stylish people you love? This beautiful blue romper I’m wearing is actually my sister’s! I love borrowing clothes from people I love because I feel like I am taking a part of them with me throughout my day, which is comforting and empowering. I clung on the last sign of summer with a bright, bold, floral piece and rocked it knowing it was big sis approved.

The Vanity Fair Social Club panel started off with a discussion with Trisha Yearwood, then to a YouTube Red Panel including Joey Graceffa, Kina Grannis, and Tim Shea. I’m a big fan of Joey, who is always so positive, happy, and vulnerable in his videos. I have watched his vlogs for a couple years now, so it was fun to hear him chat about YouTube front row!

We broke for lunch and enjoyed the venue, which was beautiful! The space was designed to look like a greenhouse with large glass windows gazing towards the Hollywood Hills.

Chatting with Brielle, a classy champagne chick and all-around brunch guru, we took the opportunity to take pics of our glasses paired with some palms. There’s nothing much I love more than enjoying a sunny rooftop with a fancy drink in hand.

And of course, I had to snap a pic in front of the Vanity Fair wall! #GOALS! lol.

Next on schedule, I enjoyed listening to Emmy predictions and a discussion with Lyn Paolo about power dressing powerful women in television!

Inside the Greenhouse there were so many beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers, Vanity Fair magazines, and ample sparkling wine; I took the opportunity to snap some pretty flat lays.

Lastly, the Vanity Fair Social Club ended with talk with young celebs Emily Robinson, Yaya Shahidi, and Rowan Blanchard. Awesome, inspiring stars who have talent at time management and reaching their goals. Respect!

During the breaks I I got the chance to chat with bloggers about what sustainable fashion is and what it’s like to live eco-consciously. It was so fun to share my love, truth, and passion with other people. In turn, it was wonderful to hear what other women strive to do in the world. It was great to connect with girls like Samira and Brielle. We shared what we learned through creating content and took turns acting as each other’s photographers. We’re bloggers, remember? lol.

I reflected on the time I started my blog about two years ago. I didn’t have the mindset that people would actively read my posts or I’d have a growing following of people who are interested in my walk with green fashion and beauty. Sustainable Daisy is a continuous journey of love. It taps into a consciousness to be more awake, aware, and loving to life around us by aiming to achieve sustainability and doing the best we can to live a fabulous life with the environment in mind. Attending the Vanity Fair Social Club party was a personal milestone, and I’m so excited to see what the future holds! Here’s for living a totally fabulous sustainably minded lifestyle. Cheers to that!
