Dry Shampoo by Green & Gorgeous Organics
I really enjoy taking care of my hair to make sure it’s healthy. Following the advice of my hairstylist, I wash my hair just 3-4 times a week. The problem is that I have a very oily scalp. Because of that, I’ve been using dry shampoo for years.
First I used aerosol cans, which work, but have a toxic odor and are filled with strange chemicals. I decided to switch to baby powder, which worked great since I have blonde hair. However, after hearing about the cancer scares linked to talc powder I decided to stop the practice all together. From then on, I just wore my “Day-2” hair in a bun, until I was introduced to Green & Gorgeous Organics. This company has dry shampoo that in a nontoxic, all natural in a powder formula. I love it!
Nontoxic and Organic
The dry shampoo has no toxic chemicals or GMOs. The shampoos are also vegan, organic, sulfate-free and cruelty-free. Green & Gorgeous Organics believes in having a transparent business model so customers can feel comfortable when using their products. G&G Organics even lists of the ingredients in each shampoo, including arrowroot powder, brown rice powder, and essential oils, all of which are certified organic. Since the dry shampoo is talc free, vegan, and free or parabens, you’re able to feel confident that the product you use will not cause severe effects to you or the environment.
In addition to their all-natural ingredients, G&G Organics uses biodegradable packaging. The dry shampoo also requires no water so it’s perfect to use when you go camping, travel, or to run errands after the gym. The shampoo is designed to absorb oil from the roots which gives hair volume and leaves a fresh touch. I tried three types: the lavender and bergamot, grapefruit and sweet orange, and the original in the 1 ounce travel size. These powder canisters come with a well-made powder brush to distribute the powder is an even effort.
First I poured a small amount of the shampoo into my hand. Next, I used the powder brush to apply the powder and distribute the powder along my roots. I do this by separating parts of my hair to create 3-4 parts and apply the powder in those areas. After the powder is distributed evenly with the powder brush, I use my hands to fluff up my hair and add volume. I notice that as more time passes (5-10 minutes) my hair is more volumized because the powder has absorbed the oil! These dry shampoos are the perfect quick fixes to vamp up your do!
I love this! Thank you for posting. I have been searching for a natural dry shampoo. I will have to try this one out. Love the blog btw!
