Hemp Beauty by Foxy Boxy
Foxy Boxy is a monthly and quarterly subscription box that offers awesome organic and vegan beauty products. The idea of Foxy Boxy is to let you try out several healthy vegan products to see what items suit you, and your body, best. Each month the types of the items change to offer a diverse selection of goodies including scrubs, peels serums, face masks, and hemp beauty essentials.
Facial Cleanser
To test this box out I took a relaxing shower and started off using the facial cleanser made from organic Himalayan hemp castile soap. I’ve never used a cleanser from a solid bar form, so I was curious how it would work out!
I am really pleased with how soothing and cleansing the bar is. Not only is it organic, non-GMO, cruelty-free, and gluten-free, it’s made with yummy healthy oils like organic hemp oil. I first started using hemp oil on my face as a serum last month. It’s super hydrating and kind to the skin, much like argan oil is. With that, this bar offers a deep clean and leaves the skin soft and glowing. The best part is that the bar can also be used as a body bar!
Hemp Mud
The next product I used was the Himalayan hemp mud. This little guy is rich with essential fatty acids and over 25,000 antioxidants!
With clay, Himalayan salt water, and hemp oil, among a few, this mask is super thick and seeps deep within the skin. After about five minutes wearing the mask on the face, I washed it off and used a warm cloth to remove excess residue. It felt amazing!
Facial Serum
After using the hemp beauty mask, I tried the hemp seed facial serum. The serum is great for every skin type, including acne-prone oily skin, which is what I have, so I was excited to try it out!
The serum comes in a sizable pump-top bottle with organic hemp oil, olive oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter, and lots of aromatic oils. Like the others, this products is gluten-free, non-GMO, organic, and vegan! Hemp is great for the skin because it has Vitamins A & E and minerals like potassium, calcium, and zinc.
Raw Lotion
After setting my face with the hemp beauty serum, and feeling super clean, I used the skin repair raw lotion on my hands, arms, and legs. I took a very small bit of the lotion and warmed it in my hands before massaging it into my body. Its 100% botanical and pure formula includes hemp oil (of course), cocoa butter, raw shea butter, and other sustainable oils. I like how this lotion comes pocket sized, so it’s great when your hands dry out and you need a quick re-vamp to get them back to a healthy, hydrated state.
I really loved all these hemp beauty products, and I’m happy to say that hemp oil, like jojoba oil or argan oil, is really useful to achieve hydrated, healthy skin!
