Detox & Unwind: Terra Bella Box January Review
A lot of people who are wary of toxins usually switch to eating organic, or toss harsh chemical cleaners. But how many people change their beauty routine to detox their skin? The damage that strange chemicals can do by entering the skin is a scary situation (dermal absorption is very real). However you don’t need to worry–Terra Bella Box has got you covered in delivering all-natural, quality detox beauty and bath products so you can live your most uninhibited natural self!
Since I recently got my hair highlighted, I’ve been going out of my basic routine to make sure my ends are receiving as much moisture as possible. Lucky for me, the January Terra Bella Box came with a Meraki Botanicals rosemary sage hair oil for my damaged ends. This conditioning hair serum provides strength to prevent breakage and helps hair grow more efficiently.
As seen in my last post, I’ve been really into scrubs. I haven’t truly exfoliated until recently and oh man, my skin is thanking me. This month I used the Skin Yoga coffee body scrub and it felt wonderful. The scrub works to reduce the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks while nourishing the skin. I mixed the scrub with a bit of water and rubbed in on my legs, arms, and body to help me detox and reset my skin.
Pre-scrub I threw the Wellsmith bath detox into my tub for a calming evening of holistic therapy. The bath detox contains sage, peppermint, yarrow, Epsom salts, and other herbs. It created a soothing brew of golden herbal essence that seeped into my skin and helped me relax. The herbal bath mix allows me to truly settle down and empty my mind.
This month’s box also cam with a Mother Earth Beauty Bar eye shadow and eye shadow primer which came in a convenient screw up applicator, much like a lip balm. I had never seen a solid eye primer like this, so I was really interested in how it would turn out. I really love it. It’s so convenient and no mess—the application is super easy! I just placed some on my eyelid then tapped it with my finger to disperse the product.
Lastly, this month I received a capsule of Fig + Yallow smelling salts! These salts contain a blend of essential oils that stimulate energy, discourage drowsiness, and drive away pathogens. I like to keep the vile in my purse so when I get a little overwhelmed from crazy traffic or whatever life brings me, I’ll open the capsule and take a long, deep breath. This has quite an invigorating aroma, which perks me up and soothes my nerves. For a moment, I feel more balanced, grounded, and ready to move forward. It’s quite amazing what the powers of holistic aromatherapy can do to the body. I’ll definitely recommend trying it out!
Trying new things such as holistic beauty or aromatherapy are just a couple of the awesome benefits to receiving a monthly Terra Bella Box. These boxes allow you to try out cruelty-free, all-natural products that help you unwind and detox from everyday life. Often, these subscription boxes hold really unique products that I’ve been dying to try but have been a little intimated by. Or, perhaps, I haven’t really known where or how to purchase such an item. Terra Bella Box has got your back. They’ve proved that they care both about the environment and about their customers by consistently delivering high quality green beauty products.
