Organic Skincare by Uni Organics
Uni Organics is an incredible transparent company that has certifications to support their all-natural claims for organic skincare.
I really like this company because their products are sleek and have a high-end feel. I’m the sort of girl who will happily smooth out beeswax on chapped lips, or scoop coconut oil into my palms for a how-to hair mask. But to some, a basic DIY can seem a bit homespun. And hey, that’s okay! Because I think you can be polished, glamorous, and spoil yourself while being eco (coconut jars and beeswax aside). It’s nice to pamper yourself, and Uni Organics is a polished eco-friendly brand that has a glassy look and top-notch feel that can make going green feel as glam as ever. However don’t be fooled, these products are affordable, too!
I am so happy to have been introduced to Uni Organics. This company was started in 1974 by Marc Geig who sought out beauty products that wouldn’t cause allergies to his family. Working in the hair care industry, he was surprised to notice that most ingredients in cosmetics and self-care products are chemicals with a toxic nature.
Marc decided to create his own products in his kitchen that were as all-natural as possible, using clear henna wax and vitamin E cream. Marc’s passion led him to becoming a renowned formulator in Australia. Recently bought by its newest owner Angela, Uni Organics works with green chemists to continue to create products at the Contemporary Premium Certified Organic Skincare Range. All Uni Organics products meet the world’s highest organic standards established by the European Certification Body Cosmos: a respected certification for organic, natural and raw materials worldwide. Additionally, Uni Organics appears on the Choose Cruelty Free (CCF) list and are made without GMOs or synthetic chemicals.
I teamed up with Uni Organics to review two of their products. The first being the Fresh Focus Gentle Face Exfoliator. Since the newest laws against microbeads I’ve been curious reading up on what the beauty industry has been doing to add abrasives to their scrubs. Some products I’ve seen substitute plastic microbeads with rice brand, coffee grounds, ground almonds, willow bark, plant sugars and now… apricot and cranberry seed powder! This scrub also combines Gardenia Extract with reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The scrub also has Mountain Leaf Pepper which improves collagen and has anti-inflammatory properties to soothe the skin.
I also tried the Sleeping Beauty Enriching Night Crème. This product has Kakadu Plum which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and improves skin texture. It also has Snake Vine extracts which has superior healing properties for skin rejuvenation. This product is incredibly nourishing which is an amazing cream to put on that can seep into your skin for your eight-hour beauty rest. I really enjoyed trying these products and I am curious to see what Uni Organics comes out with next. This company originated from the root goal of creating healthy, nontoxic products, and for that I respect it’s transparency and efforts to shift the beauty industry towards an all-natural movement!
