Recycled PET Leggings by Asa Clothing Co.

I had the opportunity to review some awesome leggings by Asa Clothing Co! There are a lot of things I love about these leggings, I’m not totally sure where to start. For one, they are really comfortable. In fact, these are the most comfortable leggings I’ve ever worn! They are well-made and are not see through, which makes exercising in them comfortable. I usually like wearing really bohemian, flowy outfits and can’t stand wearing jeans for too long. Yet, I can wear these all day long from yoga to winding down at home.

 Fun Patterns

Another cool thing about these leggings by Asa Clothing Co are the designs. The patterns are super intricate and unique. It adds a playful touch to workout gear and puts some fun into an athletic wardrobe. I paired the Graphic Amazon Leggings with a crop top I’ve had for years and kicked it in Santa Monica to soak in the springtime sun.

I also love these Graphic Floral Leggings. The soft pattern has a tasteful baby blue background. Most pants I own are black or dark blue so it was nice to mix up my wardrobe with something different! I paired the piece with a blue top I bought secondhand from Crossroads Trading.

I am between a size 2-4 so I tried the size smalls. The leggings fit really well around my body. My legs firmed up because they’re compact, yet still comfortable. These look great because although they slim the body, there’s enough fabric to show your curves.

Recycled Plastic Bottles

Now, I love a beautiful garment, but what really takes it home for me is it’s sustainable impact (of course ;)). I’ve been obsessed learning about the coolest eco fabrics on the market, and one that still boggles my mind is recycled PET, or r-PET. That means that these leggings are made from the same recycled plastic that is accumulated from when we recycle our plastic bottles! SO cool!

It trips me out how neat it is to make a single-use disposable plastic bottle into a beautiful pair of yoga pants that will last for years. Since the patterns and colors of Asa Clothing are so vibrant, it’s fun to educate onlookers about what the leggings are made of. It makes them (and you) cool for being earth conscious and making the most of recycled resources.

 

Creative Donations

Another cool thing about Asa Clothing Co is that they have a philanthropic mission! For every sale on their website, Asa Clothing donates a dollar to a nonprofit organization. The nonprofit where the donation is made depends on what product you buy. For example, the first pair I’m wearing are the Amazon Graphic Leggings, so a donation will go to the Amazon Conservation Association! With a purchase of the Floral Graphic Leggings a donation will be made to the Denver Urban Gardens. I love this idea! I think it’s so creative!
