I’ve always loved going to this part of the OC as a teenager - I’d go thrifting, take cool pictures, work on my laptop, and meet friends for coffee. It’s been a little creative eco-haven for me, which makes the addition of a zero waste shop, @eco.now.ca, extra exciting. . Have you been intimidated to buy bulk, or confused on how to calculate tare weight of your mason jars? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Shops like this make it so simple and *not* intimidating. I encourage you to find one in your area to kick off your curiosity on how pros like Bea of @zerowastehome and Lauren of @trashisfortossers have mastered the art of zero waste living (I haven’t quite got there yet)! . Not to mention... only 50% of empty bathroom products in the USA get recycled.🧴 Investing in reusable glass containers and refilling them on routine is a way for you to help offset part of this massive waste problem. I became an accredited LEED Green Associate (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), advanced my career in EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety), helped my sister plan her wedding, and started dating someone great! . The goal of the event is to raise awareness in sustainable living and finding news ways to protect the environment through alternative fuels for transportation, such as hydrogen fuel powered cars! 🚙💧🌏 Reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector by advancing clean hydrogen #fuelcell electric vehicles offers hope in what direction our planet is headed. 💚 So grateful to be apart of the green community and meet inspiring and passionate people who believe in sustainable technologies ✊🏼 #EINoscars #H2GO
Have you ever looked into your closet and felt str Have you ever looked into your closet and felt strangely irritated? It sounds odd, but sometimes pieces in my wardrobe were so ill-fitting, scratchy, or reminded me of a weird time in my life that I was sort of annoyed owning it. 😅 For me, it was a revolutionary thought that I don’t HAVE to keep things. The environmentalist inside me had such a hard time letting things go. But holding onto stuff that does not serve you is not a sustainable mindset. Imagine having a wardrobe where everything was comfortable, fit right, and made you smile when you looked at it? This dress reminds me of that. It might be the softest, comfiest thing I own, and it’s also really cute and functional. The kicker is I bought it for a few bucks at a hidden gem of a thrift store in midcity Los Angeles. This might of been one of those pieces that somebody never really liked or felt that great in. Among the irony, secondhand clothing offers a magic touch. ✨ By choosing to minimize, consolidate, and recycle your goods, you can focus less on stuff, more on living, and give things a second chance at life 🙏🏼 How do you feel when you finally let things go?
